A Short Note to Epsilon Psi Brothers

Welcome to your home page, Brothers. I hope you have the opportunity to check out the various sections of the home page. Of course, there are some areas which are not specifically Epsilon Psi, but one of the primary purposes of the Home Page is to let others know more about the chapter and Sigma Chi.

All of you are in here: check the Epsilon Psi Roster and find yourself. As you see the names on either side of yours, I'm sure many memories will immediately come to mind. I'm in the process of adding photos--composite photos --for each pledge class. Already completed are charter members, Caballeros who are initiated Sigma Chis, the 1960's, the 1970's, most of the 1980's, and some recent pledge classes. These pictures will remind you what you looked like as a young, enthusiastic Sigma Chi back in the good old college days.

There is also a list of birthdays, and yours should be there. (If it isn't, check the "unknown birthdays" list; if your name is there just email me, and I'll include it.) And you can email other Epsilon Psi Brothers here.

The purpose of the alumni section is to include news about you and other Epsilon Psi Brothers, although news is slow in coming in. There is a brand new update on many brothers now; they are in no particular order, so look through the entries for familiar names. In some cases the news in some areas may seem old, but I'm keeping it as more and more people get on the Net. If you are not a Life Loyal Sig, the cost is $295, and you can apply for it online.

You can help by looking through the names of those on the "Lost Brothers" listing. If you know where any of these brothers are, please let me know, even if it's a phone number.

The sections on pledging, being an active members, and the alumnus experience are for the purpose of rush; we all know that thousands upon thousands of junior-high and high-school students are surfing the Net daily and some may be interested in fraternities and in Sigma Chi. The rush schedule for the spring will soon be posted.

Because I was formerly the Dean of the Praetorial College, I am maintaining a page on the Grand Praetors. Did you know that Brother Tom Ely is also a Grand Praetor? At the recent Grand Chapter held in Atlanta during the latter part of June, 1997, I was elected as Alumnus Member at Large on the Executive Committee, therefore resigning my Praetorship. But, as you all know, I will remain active with Epsilon Psi here at Sam Houston; I have just taken on a different responsibility. Also included is a complete list of all Sigma Chi Chapters with links to their Home Pages (if they have one, of course!).

There are two sections which I have enjoyed doing and will continue to update: Significant Sigs and information about "The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi". In the Sweetheart section, I hope to add a picture gallery of Epsilon Psi Sweethearts through the years. There is also a section on The Music of Sigma Chi which you might enjoy.

Finally, the history sections are included for general knowledge. There are also links given to other pages which include information relevant to the particular historical discussion.

Come back often! One of the future additions will be a chapter scrapbook full of pictures from the good old days to the present.

IN HOC SIGNO VINCES
