Application periods: Monday following the last orientation of Methods student until the first Friday of September (for Spring student teachers) or February (for Fall student teachers).

WHAT - Major, Certification Program, Specialization (EC-4 & 4-8) or Teaching Field(s) (Secondary & All-Level)

Information displayed on your on-line Student Teacher Application is drawn from information you recently submitted on your on-line application to the Methods Block. Any incorrect information displayed must be corrected BEFORE submitting your application in order for you to receive student teaching placements appropriate to your certification requirements.

Early Childhood-4 and 4-8 (Academic Studies Majors)

Certification Program: EC-4, 4-8, EC-4 and/or 4-8
Academic Studies Major: EC-4 and 4-8 = Academic Studies Major
Elementary Minor: Specialization (Rdg./LA, Early Childhood, Bilingual, ESL, Special Education)

SECONDARY (8-12 or 6-12 - depending on teaching field and specific certification)

Certification Program: Secondary 8-12,
Secondary Major = Major is primary teaching field (History, English, etc.)
Secondary Minor/Teaching field: Secondary = Secondary Education
Other Specialization or teaching field: (IF applicable)

ALL-LEVEL (Early Childhood-12)

Certification Program: All-Level EC-12
All-Level Major: Major is primary teaching field (Music, Art, Kinesiology, Special Ed., Health only)
All-Level Minor is All-Level Education (Note: All-Level cannot have a second teaching field)

WHERE

Desired Student Teaching Districts (You will choose four school districts found here)
Address while Student Teaching (local, permanent, or "will relocate")
Include emergency/extenuating circumstances (i.e. child care factors) supporting a specific district/campus choice.
