Sam Houston Writing Project
The Sam Houston Writing Project holds a summer institute in June either on the campus of Sam Houston State University or at the University Center in The Woodlands. The 2011 Summer Institute will be held at the Sam Houston State University Campus in Huntsville, Texas.
A workshop in teaching writing, the Institute is open to all teachers in grades kindergarten through college/university and is presented by the Department of Language, Literacy and Special Populations and the College of Education.
It will carry three graduate credits, which you may count toward your Masters program or for professional development hours. The course for the Institute is READ 5315 (RDG 561).
A stipend will be provided each teacher invited to participate, but the first step is to apply.
The Summer Institute is sponsored by a grant from the National Writing Project and with the generous support of Sam Houston State University’s Department of Language, Literacy and Special Populations.
