You can often tell a book by its cover. The covers of my early works reflect their use of the popular arts, a use inspired by the book, The Unembarrassed Muse, by Russell Nye. To reach adolescents you need to focus on their music, their heroes, their interests, and their dreams, and to build processes which integrate multimedia technology. The text books were accompanied by teacher's guides and initial experience paks containing slides, worksheets, comic strips, posters, and simulation games, and current technology.
