Program Description
This degree is designed specifically for students who wish to work toward a degree in School Counseling. It requires completion of forty-eight hours of graduate credit and may meet academic
requirements for Licensed Professional Counselor
(LPC). The program must comply with existing
standards for professional certification.

Supervised Practicum (COUN 6376) is held in both the Dr. Jack S. Staggs Clinic on the campus of SHSU as well as the clinic of the Woodlands campus. Students may be assigned to either practicum location based on space availability, not student preference.
