Traditional classes are face-to-face classes with low (20:1) student-teacher ratios. A cohort model allows candidates to take courses with the same group of people in a course sequence that guarantees availability in classes. These classes are offered at both the Sam Houston State University main campus and at our satellite campus at the University Center in the Woodlands. Occasionally, some courses are delivered on-site (at a district or campus) when a district (or a cluster of districts) has at least ten teachers who are committed to participate as a cohort. |
