My experience with the Masters Program in Counseling was priceless and left me wanting more! I am now enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Counselor Education. The Masters coursework broadened my understanding of counseling skills and theories. The professors used an interactive lecture style and field practice experiences which allowed us to readily apply newly acquired knowledge. I now apply these counseling skills and knowledge in my day-to-day work with a diverse clientele of mentally ill adults. Sam Houston State University has given me the opportunity to develop lifelong friends and colleagues in the Counseling field.
