TExES Registration Information

• Register for the TExES Exam after taking the Representative Form (practice test) or have been given departmental approval to test
  • Log onto: www.sbec.state.tx.us to create a profile* to obtain a TEA ID Number (only need to do this once-but keep updated**)
  • Log onto: www.texes.ets.org to register for the TExES Test
    • Online at www.texes.ets.org
      • Click register then Log On (Blue Button)
      • New User, complete short profile using TEA ID Number (only need to do this once)
      • Follow the on screen prompts for registration (may need to change testing location if your chosen date does not appear)
      • PBT (paper based test) published date
      • CAT (computer administered test) choose date and location when registering
    • Mail registration by downloading the form at www.texes.ets.org/registrationBulletin
    • Telephone registration by calling 1-866-902-5922, during regular business hours
    • Follow the Educational Testing Service (ETS) instruction for test preparation, admission to the test site, and viewing your scores

• Things you should know when taking the TExES test
  • Your valid ID must match exactly to your registration name
  • Arrive 30 minutes early, no late arrivals will be allowed to test nor receive refund
  • Cell phones should not be brought to the testing facility
  • Bring two #2 lead pencils
  • No food (including candy) or beverages (including water) allowed
