- Texas law requires test candidates seeking certification do the following:
- Demonstrate mastery of their content field
- Demonstrate mastery of Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities
- The TExES/ExCET registration bulletin is available online
- Computerized Administered Tests (CAT) are available
- Educational Testing Service (ETS) will send you an admission ticket
We recommend that candidates for testing take only one test per day. Since computer testing is available for many certification exams and offered more frequently, the wisest course may be to plan for one paper & pencil exam followed by a CAT test. Our candidates have consistently demonstrated poor performance when taking more than one test in a single day.
