REFLECTION

I felt our campus needed to be reminded that focusing on the
positive is more beneficial than running the negative in the ground. Beginning with the
September CAC Meeting, each grade level alternately has been responsible for sharing
"positive thoughts" with the faculty to begin our meetings. This has set
the stage for reinforcement of faculty and staff as we recognize the many great things in
place on our campus.
The administration has received many compliments on the value of this small addition to
faculty meetings. Copies of our CAC minutes go to the superintendent and executive
director of elementary education. There have been positive comments from them about our
"positive thoughts".
In future positions of leadership, I will strive to accentuate the positive. Giving all
staff an opportunity to participate allows them to take ownership of the good things they
do and to continually be on the lookout. I will endeavor to compliment efforts of my staff
and applaud them for jobs well done. I will
praise the smallest labors and make opportunities to share positive happenings on the
campus with everyone.
Its amazing that such a little thing has the potential for such widespread effect! |
