Planning and Management of Resources to Support the Learning Environment

Resource management is an essential part of the learning process for educational leaders. Without insight into the future and proper planning, students will miss out on educational opportunities. As an educational leader, it is especially important to stay abreast of the district’s improvement plan and the local school improvement plan.

In addition, it is of additional importance to have the most current materials in the classroom - including technology. By taking advantage of available resources, including video technology, less classroom time is wasted.

While not available as an artifact via the computer, my last communication with intermediate students regarding high school matriculation was through the use of Channel One. Instead of taking time out of the instructional day, my presentation was taped and distributed to the classrooms during homeroom via Channel One. The teachers had more control of their classrooms and time was allocated without jeopardizing the class day. Teachers were very supportive of the new system and the successful time management of the learning environment.
