What is the University Theatre and Dance Guild?
The University Theatre and Dance Guild is a group of theatre lovers from Texas to New York and everywhere in between, who believe in an value educational theatre and wish to nurture theatre and dance students at Sam Houston State University through their contribution.
What are the goals of the Guild?
Support students in the department through scholarships.
Increased community awareness of and involvement with quality educational theatre.
Encourage people to attend University Theatre and Dance productions.
Provide support for visiting artists and for students' attendance at off-campus theatre events.
How does the Guild accomplish its goals?
Through its membership donations, annual and semi-annual fundraising events (such as Gala, Golf Tournaments, cook-book sales, theme breakfasts and luncheons), and picnics for cast and crew following Saturday matinees.
Benefits of Membership
To make Guild members an integral and active part of Sam Houston State University Theatre and Dance and to express our appreciation for their generosity, Guild members will receive a discount on season tickets, have their names prominently listed in production programs and be invited to participate in Guild-only special events (such as chili supper and open rehearsal, brunch and makeup demonstration, dinner and presentations by guest theatre artists), and receive the Guild's monthly newsletter "Curtain Call"
Become a Guild Member
(Membership year runs Sept 1 - Aug 31)

Active Member - $45 - A member who participates in one or more activities sponsored by the Guild

Sustaining Member - $65 - A member who cannot commit to active participation but wishes to contribute to the University Theatre through the Guild

Couples Membership - $85 - Two active Guild members who reside in the same household
