Larry Smiglewski – MFA, University of Houston; MS, Mercy College; BA, Marymount Manhattan College. Member of Actor’s Equity Association and Associate Member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SSDC). Larry worked with director John Doyle through the SDCF Program on the Tony Award winning revival of Stephen Sondheim's Company and on the National Tour of White Christmas. For three years, Larry held the title of Artistic Director of Jersey Productions, Inc. a professional theatre company he co-founded in the Greater Cincinnati area. Some productions Larry directed for Jersey include Dreamgirls, West Side Story, The Fantasticks and Ragtime, which was honored with a Cincinnati Acclaim Award. As Production Stage Manager of the Forestburgh Playhouse in Forestburgh, NY, Larry has managed productions of Rent, All Shook Up, Show Boat, Les Miserables and Wish You Were Here. In 2003, Larry was named “Model New Teacher of the Year” for his work as a 5th grade teacher at PS 89 in the Bronx by First Lady Laura Bush. Additionally, he has worked as director, stage manager or educator at numerous theatre, including American Family Theatre, University of Pennsylvania, Marymount Manhattan College, Theatre Under the Stars, Stages Repertory Theatre and CCM.
