SISSY JOHNSON
Antoinette “SISSY” Johnson
Dance Program Secretary, graduate of Sam Houston State University in 1999 with Bachelor of Business Administration with Human Resource Management Emphasis. She has been employed at SHSU since July 1982 and has worked in the offices of Purchasing, Vice President of Facilities and Operations, Administrative Accounting, and Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute, and in the Dance Program since 1992.
Sissy has small town roots, growing up in Christopher, Illinois. She moved to Texas in 1975, married and settled into family life while working full time and taking college classes as she could. Sissy achieved her goal of a BBA degree in 1999 when she graduated at the same commencement with her older daughter who earned a BS in Education. She raised two Texan daughters, with the youngest now enrolled in classes at SHSU and planning on graduation in 2011.
Sissy spends her spare time working with the Walker County Genealogy Society and the Golden Key International Honour Society. Currently she is very involved in grandmother duties with her grandchildren, Rebekka and Kamron.
