Dana E. Nicolay is Professor of Dance at Sam Houston State University. He was formerly a member of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Houston Ballet, Contemporary Dancers Canada and Space/ Dance /Theatre. The American College Dance Festival Association, the Mid-America Dance Network, and Regional Dance America have recognized his choreography for excellence. His work Sabachthani, was selected for the National College Dance Festival at the Kennedy Center. He has served as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and as Interim Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Mass Communication. He was Regional Representative for the ACDFA and is a member of the Board of Directors of Corps de Ballet International. He is certified in Primary – Level 3 of the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum and is also a Certified Laban/ Bartenieff Movement Analyst. He holds the Master of Fine Arts degree from Texas Christian University.
