Dusty Jones is an assistant professor in the Mathematics and Statistics Department at SHSU. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three children: Elijah Michael, Rosalie Grace, and Lucy Beatrice.

Dusty has taught mathematics in both public and private schools, from grades 7 to 12. He also taught mathematics and mathematics education classes at Texas A&M and MU. Prior to joining the faculty at Sam, he was an assistant professor of mathematics education at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Dusty grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. His hobbies include running, playing the guitar, and reading. He is also very active serving Christ inside and outside the church.
