SHSU Online Announces Move to Blackboard for Online Courses
As we continue to expand our online courses and programs, SHSU continuously evaluates new technology tools to ensure student success and efficient course delivery. Therefore, it is my pleasure to share the following information with you.
On August 15, with endorsement from the Faculty Senate, SHSU Online successfully moved all face-to-face courses from a version of Blackboard 8 hosted on University servers to an upgraded version of Blackboard hosted in the cloud.
Our next step is to begin moving all online courses from eCollege into Blackboard for a spring 2013 implementation. We will announce additional implementation details as soon as possible.

Project Status Update: BlackBoard Upgrade
Blackboard Learn has replaced the previous Blackboard System for face-to-face classes this fall as recommended by the Faculty Senate. All previous Blackboard 8 content has been successfully migrated into the new platform. If you are missing any content, please let us know.
Feature Highlight: Blackboard has gone through some changes that look like they were made with faculty and students in mind. One such feature is the ability to copy old course material into your Fall 2012 course(s). >> View Tutorial.
Resources & Help: We have enrolled all SHSU Blackboard faculty into a Faculty Resource Center Organization inside Blackboard. This is a place where you can ask questions or look for how-to documents. It is continuously being updated with new material, so be sure to check back often for updated resources and information.
