Tuition & Fees Payment Plan Policy - Spring 2012

  1. I hereby agree to pay the balance deferred as stated in this agreement in 3 installment payments on or before the due date specified for each installment.

  2. I understand thate INSTALLMENT AMOUNTS MAY CHANGE over time to account for any new charges, payments, or financial aid adjustments.

  3. If applicable, the student's account will be reduced by any financial aid, tuition waivers, grants, or deferments awarded. The student may then elect to pay this net amount on the payment plan (also referred to as the installment plan).

  4. The parking permit and other fees may be deemed ineligible to be calculated in the installment plan.

  5. I understand that a $15.00 late fee will be assessed for each installment payment that is late.

  6. I understand that the setup fee is nonrefunable. If you pay your plan off early, you will not be entitle to a refund of the setup fee.

  7. I also understand that failure to meet the terms of this agreement will result in grades, diplomas, and transcripts not being released until all installments and other charges have been paid in full.

  8. STATUTORY WARNING: A STUDENT WHO FAILS TO MAKE FULL PAYMENT OF TUITION AND FEES, INCLUDING ANY INCIDENTAL FEES, BY THE DUE DATE MAY BE PROHIBITED FROM REGISTERING FOR CLASSES UNTIL FULL PAYMENT IS MADE.  A STUDENT WHO FAILS TO MAKE PAYMENT PRIOR TO THE END OF THE SEMESTER MAY BE DENIED CREDIT FOR WORK DONE THAT SEMESTER.

  9. If amounts become past due, the Univesity reserves the right to employ an outside collection agency to recover the debt.  This will also initiate internal collections efforts.  If any collection efforts must be made, the student will be required to pay all collections costs, including collection agency fees, legal fees, and other costs incurred in collecting the amounts due.

     
  10. PAYMENT IN FULL IS DUE IN THE BURSARS OFFICE BY 5:00 PM ON THE APPROPRIATE DUE DATE  (SEE DUE DATES).

  11. The first installment payment should be paid in full on or before the due date indicated below to avoid loss of class schedule.

    , the initial installment payment should be received in the Bursars Office by 5 PM on November 30, 2011 for spring advance registration, January 13, 2012 for spring regular registration, and February 12, 2011 for spring late registration. The second and third installment payments for spring 2012 are due February 22, 2012 and March 22, 2012. Advance registration payment deadline of November 30, 2011 has been extended to January 13, 2012.

  12. Late fees are assessed on the second and third installment payment if received after the applicable due dates shown above. Late charges are assessed at a rate of $15 per late installment.

    For each returned check, a $25.00 fee will be added to the student's account.

  13. Students who withdraw from all their classes after a payment has been made on their account for that semester's tuition and fees will be required to officially resign through the Registrar's Office and may be liable for full tuition and fees depending upon the official date of resignation.
     
  14. Room and board payment due dates are the same as the tuition installment due dates.

    Please note that each student may assess their own customized payment plan agreement through the Student Account Center any time after enrollment in a plan. Payment amounst and due dates are published on the customized agreement. The Student Account Center is accessible through My Sam's My Account tab.
