(I am 60). I was born with an abnormal bifurcated aortic valve. The same defect killed my father at age 44 and one brother at age 45. On Aug. 2, 2004, skillled cardiologist surgeons, Dr. Ramchandani, MD, and Dr. Klein, MD, replaced my genetically defective valve with an artificial aortic valve, and repaired two more problems. I didn't start the Fall 2004 semester in person but I finished the whole year thanks to Dr. Ramchadani, Dr Klein, Dr. Ficklen and Dr. Sims. Doctors I have met are motivated by intellectual challenges and helping people enjoy life.
