
The goal of CAPST is to utilize its member expertise in science, technology, management, and other related areas to achieve their self-improvement and prosperity, to promote scientific, technological, cultural, and economic exchanges between the United States and China, and to provide services and opportunities for its members to actively participate in community activities.
Most of CAPST members hold PhDs and/or Master's degrees in science, engineering, medicine, business administration,law, education, art, and other areas, and work in companies, university and college, and federal, state, and community organizations holding research, development, management, and other positions. These characteristics make CAPST a unique professional organization to allow its members and communities alike to benefit from this pool of talent.
CAPST has several expert groups to promote their own and mutual professional activities. CAPST publishes its quarterly newsletter to reflect its activities, and to provide opportunities for its members to share various information and experience.
