Data Evaluation
To evaluate the capacity and effectiveness of the assessment system, unit and program-level data are reviewed annually by the faculty, by the COE Leadership Team, by the Sam Houston Innovative Partnership with Schools (SHIPS) Advisory Council, the COE Assessment Committee, and the COE Dispositions Committee. For follow-up surveys of candidate preparedness, correlation studies are performed to examine the strength of the relationship between graduates and employers aggregated responses.
From the unit-wide database, Tk20, reports are produced and distributed annually. Data are available in report form on the Accreditation Website, for the unit, department, and program at Data Directory for Initial and Advanced Programs.
These groups review both performance and data quality, identify concerns or emerging needs, and provide recommendations for revising specific unit or program assessments. Faculty members have access to these data for research or planning purposes and continuous improvement.
