The Sam Houston State University College of Education uses assessment data in two important ways:

(1) To introspectively look for ways to continuously improve our nationally recognized programs and expand successful activities that advance our professional education candidates' successes in further academic coursework and in their careers. 

(2) To present SHSU and our candidates to national and state accreditation entities as having satisfactory or target levels of achievement, progress and feedback in coursework, field experience, dispositions and other candidate or program requirements.

Data are available on initial (teacher preparation) candidates and programs, and on advanced (other school professional) candidates and programs.  The link on the navigation pane will take you to either initial or advanced program data. From here you may choose to view all data, or data sets disaggregated by academic year or by specific program.
