Richard Ballinger, PGA, MBA The Sam Houston State University PGA Golf Management Program is supervised by the Director, Richard Ballinger. Richard is a PGA Master Professional and has served as the Director of the program since program inception in February of 2005. Richard is a 1994 graduate of the Ferris State University PGA Golf Management program, where he earned a B.S. in Marketing with a Minor in Professional Golf Management. Richard also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Sam Houston State University in 2008. For almost 2 years, prior to employment at Sam Houston State University, Richard was the Internship Director for the Coastal Carolina University PGA Golf Management program. Before his tenure at Coastal Carolina University, Richard worked for the Glens Group in South Carolina for 9 years where he was charged opening two of their facilities while serving as the Head Golf Professional. Since November of 2009, Brad Myers has served as the Internship Coordinator of the Sam Houston State PGA Golf Management Program. Brad has been Certified by the PGA of America in four of the six available disciplines. Brad is a 1994 graduate of the New Mexico State University PGA Golf Management program, where he earned a B.S. in Marketing with a Minor in Professional Golf Management. Brad is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University and has a scheduled graduation date of May 2012. Before joining the Sam Houston State University Staff, Brad has multiple experiences managing high-end high-volume facilities which included private, public/daily fee and resort facilities. Some of these facilities include the TPC at Sawgrass, the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center and Country Club as well as Shadow Wood Country Club.
