Mitch Parker - Marketing and Events Coordinator
Mitch Parker received both his Bachelors Degree in Psychology and his Masters Degree in Counseling from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Mitch has worked in the field of Career Services his entire professional career. His first position was that of Career Counselor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he assisted students with resumes, cover letters, the interview process, and in identifying their life's goals. His most recent position before joining the Sam Houston State University Career Services staff was that of Assistant Director of Career Services at Texas A&M University - Kingsville where he worked to build relationships with constituents throughout the campus community and helped to change the prior image of Career Services on that campus to one more positively regarded. At both locations Mitch was also the web editor.
As the SHSU Career Services Marketing and Events Coordinator, Mitch will coordinate all our job fairs and career-related events, manage our web and social media presence, and promote our office and services both on and off campus.
In his spare time, Mitch enjoys being outside, whether he is golfing, fishing, camping, or simply just enjoying the serenity of nature.
