Taehee Kim
Assistant Professor Louisiana State University, M.F.A. Art Building D, R104 936.294.4762 thkim@shsu.edu Teaching Area: Graphic Design Kim has explored art, science, technology, and culture. Kim continues to research the investigation of artistic ideas that merge to scientific technology. In conjunction with her research, Kim emphasizes experimentation aesthetically, conceptually and technically in graphic design education. During the past few years, Kim has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. Her work, Meditation, was selected for the SIGGRAPH 2004 and exhibited in the Art Gallery at Los Angeles Convention Center. In 2005 she was invited to a solo exhibition of Spiritual Union and a lecture of Graphic Design Education in America at Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea. She received the award of Best of Show for “Meditation” in the 3rd Cleveland Biennial Juried Exhibition. Kim’s works have also been exhibited The Edge of Excess at Foundry Art Centre in Missouri on 2007. In 2008, her works has been presented SMart Multimedia Art Festival in Michigan and awarded an Honorable Mentionin the 23rd Tallahassee International Competition in Florida. In additions, she had a solo exhibition, [ARTology] Art the Border of Art, Science and Technology, at Kyonghee University in Suwon, South Korea. |
