Rebecca Finley was born Knoxville, Tennessee. She received her BA in Studio Art from The University of Tennessee in 1997. Her area of concentration was Media Art. Rebecca earned her MFA in Photography from The San Francisco Art Institute in 2000. After graduate school she returned to Tennessee where she taught photography at The University of Tennessee, Carson-Newman College, and Pellissippi State. Rebecca began teaching at SHSU in 2005.
