Born and Educated in the deserts of North America Amorous came to Sam Houston State University in the Piney woods of East Texas after 6 years of teaching in New Mexico.
He, a frustrated Musician, creates digital and actual paintings that, while seeming to be about the Natural Landscape, allude to the mediums employed (oil paint and pixels) and reference Art History.
His recent projects include digitizing guitar and keyboard instruments into ones and zeros and organizing them into code to produce sounds similar to music and painting images of the world in oil paint by means of process rather than technique.
