Early in her studies, Chuck realized that she had too many issues to not
be an artist. With titles such as, but not necessarily, "Questionable
Crafts: Quotes by Misguided Males" and "You, Only Better", her art
examines women's stereotypes both in media choice and in message. Recent
work includes the XXX-Stitch Series, a collection of provocative
cross-stitched imagery exploiting the discrepancies between interests
traditionally characterized as female or male.

Chuck has been teaching at SHSU since 1997. Her work has been exhibited
nationally. Influences, good and bad, include 1970s music, "I Dream of
Jeannie", and Kevin Bacon.
