Teaching Area: Ceramics
Annie Strader is an interdisciplinary artist who utilizes sculptural, digital processes and video to create objects, installations and performances. She earned her MFA from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO and her BFA from Ohio University in Athens, OH. She has an active exhibition schedule with exhibitions at The Athens Institute for Contemporary Art in Athens, GA, The Hartnett Gallery in Rochester, NY and Roy G Biv Gallery in Columbus, OH.
In addition to her individual studio practice Strader is also a member of The Bridge Club performance art collaborative with other members Emily Bivens, Christine Owen and Julie Wills. The Bridge Club has been working together since 2004 to create site responsive performances, installations video and digital works. Recent exhibition venues include SPACES gallery in Cleveland, OH, 1708 Gallery in Richmond, VA and in 2007 The Bridge Club was selected for the shortlist in the London International Creative Competition in the category of performance art.
