Jones Clark was born in Geneva, Texas. Mrs. Clark received
her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston in 1937,
and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of
Texas in 1940. She worked as a teacher at Saratoga High
School and Beaumont South Park High School, was an assistant
manager for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, and
assistant manager of the Andrew Mellon National Art Gallery
Cafeteria in Washington, D.C. When Mrs. Clark retired
in 1973 she was Vice-President Director of personnel,
and personnel and payroll manager of Uncle Ben's Rice
and Mars, Inc. Mrs. Clark is married to Robert Clark,
SHSU Class of '37 and they have one daughter, Susan Glickman
of Houston. Mr. and Mrs. Clark are members of the SHSU
Alumni Association. |
