LEE ANDREW FRANKE

To be considered as a recipient of the Lee Andrew Franke Scholarship Fund, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be a SHSU student majoring in elementary education.

 

VICTORIA FRELS MEMORIAL

To be considered as a recipient of the Victoria Frels Scholarship Fund, applicants must satisfy the following criteria

1. Be a SHSU student majoring in English

 

METRO HOUSTON SOFTBALL UMPIRES ASSOCIATION

To be considered as a recipient of the Metro Houston Softball Umpires Association Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be female students enrolled at SHSU and participating in the softball program

 

NORMA DELL MONZINGO JONES

To be considered as a recipient of the Norma Dell Monzingo Jones Scholarship Fund, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be a Lovelady High School graduating senior enrolling at SHSU
2. Demonstrate need and desire; recipient does not necessarily have to be the valedictorian or salutatorian of his/her graduating class

 

SHSU ALUMNI LEGACY

To be considered as a recipient of the SHSU Alumni Legacy, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in good standing enrolled at SHSU, having completed a minimum of 15 credit hours, majoring in any discipline;
2. Maintain an overall GPA of 2.0;
3. Be a descendent of a member in good standing of the SHSU Alumni Association.

 

THOMAS C. AND MARGARET EVELYN LETTS

To be considered as a recipient of the Thomas C. and Margaret Evelyn Letts Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior majoring in any discipline
2. Demonstrate good character
3. Maintain scholastic and leadership excellence
4. Demonstrate need

 

SHSU LICENSE PLATE PROGRAM

To be considered as a recipient of the SHSU License Plate Program Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Demonstrate financial need
2. Be a Texas resident
3. Be enrolled on at least a half-time basis at SHSU
4. Maintain a satisfactory academic progress in program of study

 

WOOD-MATHEWS

To be considered as a recipient of the Wood-Mathews Scholarship, applicant must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be enrolled full-time at SHSU in any discipline leading to a bachelor's or master's degree
2. Have sophomore or above status (including graduate studies)
3. Be a citizen of the United States
4. Provide accurate documentation of financial need
5. Fulfill the university's requirements for satisfactory completion of course work and orderly progression in a timely manner.

 

MARTHA MITCHELL

To be considered as a recipient of the Martha Mitchell Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior majoring in any discipline
2. Demonstrate good character
3. Demonstrate financial need

 

EUNICE SPIVEY PARK AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

To be considered as a recipient of the Eunice Spivey Park Award for Excellence in Elementary Education, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Exhibit academic excellence (sophomore, junior and senior students must maintain a 3.0 GPA)
2. Be a SHSU student majoring in Elementary Education
3. Exhibit good citizenship

 

F. L. POOL EDUCATIONAL LIVING TRUST

To be considered as a recipient of the F.L. Pool Educational Living Trust Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be enrolled at SHSU in education to teach in the public schools of Texas
2. Demonstrate financial need

 

DR. CHARLES A. SCHMIDT FINE ARTS

To be considered as a recipient of the Dr. Charles A. Schmidt Fine Arts Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be a SHSU student majoring in fine arts
2. Demonstrate financial need
3. Possess good academic qualifications
4. Be of high moral character
5. Exhibit good citizenship
6. Provide three character references

 

EVA FUTCH WESTMORELAND

To be considered as a recipient of the Eva Futch Westmoreland Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Be a SHSU student majoring in any discipline.

 

MEREDITH GARRETT YORK MEMORIAL

To be considered as a recipient of the Meredith Garrett York Memorial, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Demonstrate financial need
2. Demonstrate good character
3. Maintain good scholarship and excellence while representing SHSU in intercollegiate competition in track

 

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TUITION DRAWING SCHOLARSHIP

To be considered as a recipient of the Alumni Association Tuition Drawing Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Must be a first generation college student
2. Must be a Texas resident
3. Must be a citizen of the United States
4. Demonstrate financial need
5. Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better; or in the case of an incoming freshman, graduated within the top 25% of his/her class

 

WINNIE LAURENE RAGSDALE SCHOLARSHIP

To be considered as a recipient of the Winnie Laurene Ragsdale Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. an incoming freshman student in good standing enrolled at SHSU
2. Education Major
3. Be a graduate of Humble High School
4. Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0

 

Dr. MARIE HAYDEN ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

To be considered as a recipient of the Dr. Marie Hayden Alumni Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

1. Full-time Junior or Senior in goodstanding
2. Majoring in any discipline
3. Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0
4. Demonstrate Financial Need
