Courses Taught:

As of December 2005 I am a lecturer and have taught IT 139 Introduction to Auto CAD and IT 161 Engineering Graphics.

I teach full time at Conroe HS also. There I teach Engineering Graphics, Communication Graphics, and Computer Multimedia & Animation Technology.

Administration:

At SHSU I teach introductory course(s) to provide my students a strong background in the basics.

With ATTE I am responsible for maintain all of our finances, bills, etc.. and keeping track of over 300+ members. Winter Conference planning committee member for annual ATTE conference held every February at TAMU in College Station . Responsible for accounts, coordinating with vendors, and faculties planning.

I am currently on the ITEA 2007 conference planning committee, in charge of finance and budget.

At Conroe HS I am responsible for maintaining three computer labs. I am also 1 of 3 contact / "technology" coaches who assist other staff members in integrating technology such as website. I am also a "tracking teacher" for a special needs student, who requires Assistive Technology to be able to participate. I am the only person on campus who can operate and maintain his equipment and software needs.


Research Interests:

Area of specialty is curriculum, education, and technology. I have written numerous articles in ATTE journal. Co-wrote the Safety curriculum for TEA and the new TEKS in 1998. One of three asked back in 1999 and co-wrote for the Middle School Exploring Energy, Power, & Transportation. I am usually asked to present at different conferences based upon various subjects ranging from lab safety, use of Rubrics, to how to integrate technology into the curriculum.

Numerous articles published in ATTE journals over the past 6 years ranging from Lab Safety, Lathe Turning, Classroom Management, Integrating Technology, Basic Web Page Designing, and of course officer articles.

Penn State Industries article December 2000 based upon use of lathe turnings to motivate students. Student article also published.
