Technology Faculty Hosts Software Workshop

On January 10 -11, Dr. Bill Moore, Professor in the SHSU Technology Program, hosted a regional workshop presented by Advanced Relational Technology, Inc. (ART). ART is the developer of CHIEF ARCHITECT, 3D Architectural Design software program created for the professional remodeler, designer, builder, and architect.

Louis Fernandez, an ART representative from Houston , led the intermediate level workshop which was attended by 14 professionals from across the state. Gray Technologies from Austin is the regional dealer for ART.

The Technology Program benefits from the workshop included both in-depth instruction as well as an academic grant from ART. In exchange for hosting the workshop, ART issues the Technology Program a classroom license for their software. The grant represents approximately $5,000 worth of software. This allows our students the opportunity to become acquainted with an outstanding 3D architectural program geared at residential design. .
