Bearkat Classic
Golf Tournament Coming Soon
Put April 24th on your calendar as the day
to make a trip to the Raven Nest Golf Club
in Huntsville to participate in the 1st Annual
Bearkat Classic Golf Tournament. The recently
opened course, built on what was once the SHSU
dairy farm and rodeo grounds, is a challenging
18-hole course that has been neatly conformed
to the beautiful rolling hills and is surrounded
by fields of gorgeous wildflowers. It is a
delight to play, but the rough does have a
tendency to eat some golf balls. The best ball
scramble should keep everyone moving along
at a steady pace, just in time to enjoy the
fajita feast provided by members of the Ag
Alumni Association in the newly built clubhouse.
We welcome any and all sponsors and players
to the event. Proceeds raised from this tournament
will be used by the Agricultural Sciences Department
for scholarships, classroom technology enhancement,
support of student travel to conferences, conventions
and competitive events, and many other important
initiatives.
Put a team together or let us match you up
for a great day of fun and festivities. The
golf will be fun, the prizes are great, but
the camaraderie will be the best. Join us!
