Sam Houston Shines at NACTA Conference
Dr.
William Harrell, Professor of Agricultural Mechanization,
received the NACTA Teacher Fellow Award at the annual conference
of the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture
on June 20. The award comes in recognition of Harrell’s
outstanding dedication to his profession and superior traits
as a teacher and scholar in agriculture.
Another
prominent figure at the conference was Dr. Bud Kennedy, presenting
results of his research to the assembly of agriculture educators.
Dr. Kennedy, currently an animal science professor at Arkansas
State University, received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees
from Sam Houston State. He went on to complete his Ph.D.
in Animal Science at L.S.U.
We commend both of these gentlemen for their outstanding
accomplishments and are proud of their association with our
program.
