Sam Houston Shines at NACTA Conference

Dr. William Harrell, Professor of Agricultural Mechanization, received the NACTA Teacher Fellow Award at the annual conference of the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture on June 20. The award comes in recognition of Harrell’s outstanding dedication to his profession and superior traits as a teacher and scholar in agriculture.

Another prominent figure at the conference was Dr. Bud Kennedy, presenting results of his research to the assembly of agriculture educators. Dr. Kennedy, currently an animal science professor at Arkansas State University, received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Sam Houston State. He went on to complete his Ph.D. in Animal Science at L.S.U.

We commend both of these gentlemen for their outstanding accomplishments and are proud of their association with our program.
