SHSU Ag Ambassadors

Ag AmbassadorsSelection of this year's group of Ag Ambassadors began in early September to allow for an early start on recruiting activities. Though the Ambassadors' main function is recruiting for the department and the university, they also serve as public relations representatives at various functions throughout the year. Ambassadors can be found giving presentations at Saturdays @ Sam!, Sam Ag Day, visiting area schools and staffing the recruiting booth at various stock shows, the State FFA Convention and the State Ag Teachers Convention. They also assist with alumni receptions and other social events. Ambassadors are called upon on a regular basis to provide personal tours of the main campus and the agricultural facilities.

Ambassadors for the 2000-2001 school year are Tiffany Holub, Katy; Cortney Davis, Galena Park; Brent Davis, Waller; Danell Woolery, Cypress; Edward Aragon, Houston; Wade Lee, Cuero; Meredith Cook, Tyler; Jodi Beason, Huntsville; Monika Trevino, Houston; Shannon Clinard, Anderson; David Johnson, Fred; Brian Gregg, Crosby; Annette Nelson, San Antonio; Lisa Boots, Deer Park; and Michelle Swanson, Lake Jackson. Graduate assistant Jodie Smith served as advisor for the group last fall. Upon her graduation in December, Jennifer Muller accepted that responsibility. If you know of a situation in which SHSU Ag Ambassadors are needed, please give Jennifer a call at 936-294-1217.
