Phase
I of the Agricultural Mechanics Center has been completed. The
first labs were conducted at the center during the fall 1998 semester.
During the Christmas break, the move to the new lab was completed
and all skills labs were conducted there during the spring 1999
semester. The modern, spacious facility is now slated for further
expansion to accommodate the consolidation of all agricultural mechanization
labs under one roof.
Plans
for Phase II, which will include the completion of the classroom/office
area, added building space for a new power and machinery lab and
a secured storage area have been approved and construction should
begin this winter. Total cost of the facility will be over $600,000
when completed.
