The
SHSU Ag Mech Club has attained student branch affiliation with the
American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE). Affiliation will
provide members with the opportunity to participate in many activities
at the state and national levels. As student members, they will
be eligible to participate in professional meetings, mini and lawn
tractor pulls, have interaction with professionals in agricultural
mechanization, and receive Resource, the national ASAE publication.
Local club members have the option of paying national dues. Twenty
members have paid their national dues to date for the 1999-2000
academic year. The club's first trip of the year was to Corpus Christi
to participate in the Texas Section Annual Meeting.
