Agribusiness Association Goes National

The SHSU Agricultural Business Association is comprised mostly of agribusiness majors, although all students are welcome to join. Plans for this year include to assist with conducting the Ag Sales and Farm Business Management Career Development Events at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. Members are diligently preparing for competition in the Southern Agricultural Economics Association Quiz Bowl to be held in Lexington Kentucky in January 2000.

The club will host guest speakers and sponsor various field trips as well. Members are always open to suggestions. Please call Dr. Moorman, club sponsor, for ideas on places to visit or speakers that will add to the educational experience at SHSU. Chris Moore (Cedar HIll) is serving as President; Jennifer Lomas (Katy) is Vice President; Jamie Smith (Broaddus) is Secretary; Justin Bielamowicz (Tomball) is Treasurer; and Hollie Malone (Barbers HIll) is serving as Reporter.
