Kimberly Tijerina From the small town of Navasota, Kimberly is the fourth in her family to graduate from Sam Houston State University. She is a 2008 graduate with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications. Kimberly is thrilled to have the opportunity to share the excitement of being a Bearkat with prospective students as the Houston Regional Admissions Counselor. She believes that happiness is true success in life. "I want students to feel confident that SHSU will aid in finding their own success in life no matter what that might be.” |

Megan Greene Megan is a native Houstonian who received her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology in 2003. She decided to continue her education by completing her Master of Education in Secondary Education with a minor in Health in 2005. While attending SHSU, Megan was involved in many of the wonderful student groups, programs, activities, and special events on campus. "There are so many great reasons to be a Bearkat. I'm proud to have the opportunity to share what a wonderful place Sam Houston State is with others and why I'm happy to call Sam home." |

Rebecca Gay Rebecca was born in Houston, Texas and raised in the small town of Bellville. In 2005, she came to Sam Houston State earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Marketing. During her time at Sam she worked as a Bearkat Student Ambassador for the Visitor Center and was a member of Phi Chi Theta, a national coeducational professional fraternity in business and economics. She is a 2008 SHSU graduate. As the new Transfer Counselor, Rebecca is excited to share the great experience and opportunities Sam has to offer! Eat 'Em Up Kats! |

Salvador Favela Raised in Huntsville Salvador is familiar with the Bearkat family and the orange spirit. Salvador is a first-generation college graduate and started his studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho. He then continued his education at University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science. He truly enjoys running in the rain, learning and discussing geopolitics, immigration, sociology and more. Salvador’s love for education drives him to seek higher education for himself and others. As the new San Antonio & South Texas representative and honorary Bearkat, he looks forward to sharing his zeal for education with everyone. Eat 'Em Up Kats! |

Keith Ahee Born and raised in The Woodlands, Texas. Keith Ahee first attended Lone Star College before transferring to Sam Houston State in 2007. He's a first generation college student and completed a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice in August 2010. While an undergraduate students at SHSU, Keith worked for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and participated in Colleges Against Cancer. His favorite memory was coordinating and implementing the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life 2010. He strongly encourages future Bearkats to get involved, have fun, and stay focused.
