FORMER
STUDENTS
All former SHSU students who did not attend one long semester (fall or
spring) must submit an application at ApplyTexas for undergraduate admission and a $10
re-application fee in order to re-enter Sam Houston State University.
Any former
SHSU student who attends another institution is responsible
for submitting to the Office of Undergraduate
Admissions:
- an application for undergraduate admission
- an official transcript from all institutions attended
since leaving SHSU
- meet the miniumum required grade point
average on submitted transfer work. The transfer requirement at Sam Houston
State University is as follows: students with up to 17 transferrable hours must have at least a 2.5 gpa; students with 18 or more transferrable hours must have at least a 2.0 gpa.
Your Sam Houston State University GPA is kept separate.
Transcripts of all course work attempted, since leaving
SHSU, must be submitted.
A student who leaves Sam Houston State University
on scholastic probation is readmitted on scholastic
probation, even if the student has attended another
institution after leaving and re-entering Sam Houston
State University.
