Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting
Students are prepared for entry-level careers within the accounting profession and for graduate work through the Department's BBA in Accounting program. To major in accounting, a student must achieve a minimum overall grade point average of at least 2.5, and earn a C or better in each of the 10 accounting courses (30 credit hours).
The Department also offers a minor in accounting consisting of 6 accounting courses (18 credit hours) to complement any academic discipline.
Master of Science in Accounting
Students are prepared to meet the requirements to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination through the Department's MS in Accounting, a full graduate curriculum consisting of 24 graduate hours of accounting classes and 6 hours of graduate business electives. Students can complete their degrees in 12 months of full time enrollment if they begin the program in either the Fall or Summer semesters.
To be admitted, a student must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting with the appropriate course content, possess an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better and a GPA in advanced accounting course work of 3.0 or better, and meet all other requirements for admission as a graduate student to the College of Business Administration, which include an acceptable score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
