Works by several American artists will be featured, including Richard Notkin, Kenneth Zonker, Cynthia Reid, Amber Zama, David Adickes, Lee Baxter Davis, Andy Emmons, David Driesbach, and Bill Condon, as well as work from French artist Georges Rouault and Spanish artist Salvador Dali.

This exhibition is organized and curated by Daniel Porter, Blanca Cardenas and Alison Schmidt, current students in the Department of Art.

These students received a University FAST grant to support student research this summer. Their project was to develop an inventory of artwork belonging to the university. They researched works in the collection and curated the exhibition by selecting works that were of particular interest.

The exhibit includes works by former SHSU students and faculty, as well as nationally and internationally known artists.

A reception for the exhibition will be held on Aug. 30 from 5-6 p.m. The student curators will make brief remarks about the exhibition at 5:30 p.m.
