Quality Enhancement Plan - Process

“Developing a QEP as part of the reaffirmation process is an opportunity and an impetus for an institution to enhance overall institutional quality and effectiveness by focusing on an issue or issues the institution considers important to improving student learning” (SACSCOC Resource Manual for the Principles of Accreditation).

Sam Houston State University is currently working to identify its next Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) topic.  In order to ensure the selection of a QEP that is meaningful to SHSU and its students, the institution will review key institutional data sources and solicit input and feedback from its various constituents.  The following timeline highlights key dates for the process.

1  As part of the institution's rotating schedule of Core Curriculum assessment, the 2015-2016 CAT was administered to students enrolled in upper-division courses within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the College of Science and Engineering Technology in the Spring of 2016.
