Hello, this is Mike Vaughn, Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and Director of the Ph.D. program in the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. Sam Houston has one of the nation’s oldest and largest criminal justice educational institutions. The College of Criminal Justice offers 5 graduate degree programs: the Master of Arts in Criminology, the Master of Science in Forensic Science, the Master of Science in Security Studies, the Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management, and the Ph.D. in Criminal Justice. The M.S. in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management is offered in an intensive weekend format and online. This degree in tailored for criminal justice professionals, currently working in the field, who want to obtain a Master’s degree to be eligible for promotion. For students who are wishing to pursue an advanced education, the College offers the Ph.D. in Criminal Justice. Our Ph.D. graduates have secured academic jobs in universities throughout the State of Texas, the nation, and the world.
