The distinctive program is designed to prepare graduate-level students for advanced studies in agriculture while integrating the framework of sustainable practices.

The program curriculum is composed of the applied knowledge of plants, animals, and soils, with a blend of eco-friendly practices and problem-solving skills to advocate for the role of agriculture in building healthy communities.

The first cohort of students is expected in Fall 2015, and the program is delivered as a full distance-education degree program through SHSU Online.
