Why Fashion Merchandising?

Graduates from Sam Houston State University’s Fashion Merchandising Program enter an exciting and dynamic industry that is constantly changing. Opportunities include retail management, apparel buying, merchandising for an apparel or accessories line, and producing special events such as fashion and trunk shows.

The Fashion Merchandising Program prepares students academically and in practice for entry-level positions in retail and wholesale settings. The senior-level internship requirement provides an excellent segue into the job market following graduation. Students may choose to pursue either a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree
