Damaged Cards & Lost Cards

What if I lose my Bearkat OneCard?

A lost or stolen ID card must be immediately reported to the

Bearkat One Card Office. You can also log in to your

account at www.BearkatOne.com , or you can call the toll

free number, 1-877-BEARKAT .

For access to residence halls, meal plans, and on campus use,

a temporary ID card will be issued. The temporary card will

not allow you to access the funds in your OneAccount. A $25.00 replacement card fee will be charged through the student accounting system and a new card will be issued by mail.

What if I misplace my Bearkat OneCard?

If you have misplaced your Bearkat OneCard and are not

sure if it is officially lost, you may request a temporary ID

card at a cost of $10.00. The temporary ID will be active

for a two week period, allowing you access to residence

halls, meal plans, and on campus use. If you are still unable

to locate your permanent ID card after the two week

period, a permanent card will need to be ordered and the

$25.00 replacement card fee will apply.

What if I Damage My Card?

Bearkat OneCards must be properly cared for in order to ensure that they work correctly around campus.

If a replacement card is necessary due to excessive wear there is no cost for replacement, but the existing card must be returned to the Bearkat OneCard office once the replacement card has been received.

If it is determined that a Bearkat OneCard has been misused or intentionally damaged, it will be the responsibility of the student to replace the Bearkat OneCard at a cost of $25.00

Card Care

ID cards should be carried in your either the Card Holder or the Key Ring Holder, that are both complimentary items, of the Bearkat OneCard Office and can be picked up during normal business hours.

Things to avoid in order to ensure your card works properly:

  • Exposing cards to extremes in temperature.
  • Placing cards within close proximity to magnetic fields (such as TV's, stereos, microwaves, computers) as this may erase the ID's magnetic strip. This re-encoding is done at no charge.
  • Punching holes in ID cards for any reason.
  • Adding stickers of any kind.
  • Sending card through the laundry.
  • Scratching the magnetic strip.
  • Bending the card.
