Holland Behn is this month’s GCJD Alumni of the Month. Behn is currently working in Dallas, Texas as a publicity and promotions coordinator for Allied Integrated Marketing. Her job entails handling press for local talent, red carpets, and movie screenings.
Her career first began in Austin, Texas where she was an intern with Fons PR, an entertainment public relations agency. Behn then moved on to complete a summer internship with Weber Shandwick in Dallas, Texas.
During her time at Sam Houston State University, Behn was the Vice President of the freshman honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta, a member of the Program Council, and a vital member of the Sam Houston chapter of The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Behn also held an on-campus job as a Resident Advisor. Before graduation, she traveled with GCJD to Lebanon for a training on the security sector. Behn graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Mass Communications.
“GCJD taught me that if you have an idea that you really believe in, you can get it done. I think about that every time I have to come up with a new event or idea for a client. When I was at the Global Center I saw first-hand how a small idea could manifest into something great and really make an impact. That has stuck with me ever since my time with the GCJD was over.”
