Student Assessment

The College of Education (COE) faculty values assessment as an essential part of teaching and learning. An integrated approach is employed to ensure that the assessment system collects information about a candidate's potential and proficiencies related to the conceptual framework, state standards, and professional standards, through curriculum alignment. The capacity and effectiveness of the assessment system is evaluated on a regular basis.
An assessment is an activity or task that is evaluated by a program or unit to measure learning outcomes or standards determining a level of mastery by candidates. Data are collected, analyzed, and evaluated to facilitate continuous improvement.
